My mother used to have a fabric sofa, a 3 +2 seaters. She prefers fabric sofa because she could change the sofa covers every quarterly months. In addition, she could order made different patterns and designs of the fabric sofa of her choice. However, I prefer genuine leather made sofa. There is another option, half genuine leather sofa on the seatings with half man made leather for the head rest and the back of the sofa. Although genuine leather sofa cost more than fabric and man made sofa, it does provide a longer lifespan compare to the both. I had been using my leather sofa for the last 16 years. Yes, there are torn portions but the sponge and spring are still durable and usable. So, what type of sofa do you have?

We have a genuine leather sofa. Some years ago we had it upholstered again together with two armchairs.

@peachpurple Our sofas are made with Nubuck Leather, it's not cold. Nubuck is made using the rawhide from cattle, that is sanded to give it a suede-like, soft appearance. I had Top grain leather sofa in Monte-Carlo, where winters are not cold.

I have fabric, I have never liked leather ones, cold to sit in at first in the winter and then sticking to them in hot weather. At least that is how it has worked at my moms when I have sat in them.

We just have a fabric love seat and I love it. No need for a leather one.

I have always liked the fabric sofas. The covers can be cleaned and changed regularly. And i find it more comfortable.
