~Day 5~

This is day 5 of the grateful/thankful challenge. What I am grateful for today is my health. I am so so blessed when it comes to my health. I am so grateful I wake up feeling good each day and I have enough energy to take care of and play with my own children and the little one I babysit. I do not take me being healthy for granted. I thank God I don't have any health problems. Sadly, my younger sister has health problems and I thank God often that I don't. I know so many people have health problems and I am so sorry. I wouldn't want to live in pain every single day of my life. That has to be horrible... =( This picture is of me, taken a week ago.

I donĀ“t take health for granted for a long time now. And I agree that we have to be grateful for it. When I look with disgust at my too thin skin and my too little hair, I also know that they are side effects from the chemo and that without it I would not be here. We have to learn to accept what we have and be grateful for it.

Its so good to hear of someone with good health that is thankful for it. I don't have the greatest health, but I give thanks for science that keeps me going, from medications to surgeries.

What a pretty photo of you. I'm glad you give God credit for your good health...He's so merciful, isn't He? For today's list, I'm grateful for a Godly husband. Drives me nuts sometimes, but wouldn't know what to do without him.

@1creekgirl Thank you! =) Absolutely, I thank God for every good thing in my life since He is the reason I have it. I also try to remember to thank God for the bad things too-although that is much harder at times. Aw, I'm so glad you have your husband and your happy!

@LovingMyBabies He's my best bud. And don't let anyone tell you romance ever has to end. I try to remind myself that the Bible tells us to thank God IN all things, but not FOR all things. I don't thank God for a torn rotator cuff, but I do thank Him for good surgeons and meds.

@1creekgirl So sweet! Oh I know it doesn't. Last night my husband was working on the truck when a love song came on the radio. He started dancing with me in the driveway!!

@kobesbuddy Thank you very much. =) I'm sorry you don't have good health now. =( I try to appreciate the good things I do have in life. Sometimes we only realize how good we have/had it once things are gone.

I have always taken my health for granted, because I have always been healthy, but it seems like over the last two years or so I've noticed my body isn't as resilient as it used to be. Now, I definitely don't take my health for granted, and I am thankful that I can still consider myself relatively healthy at this point in my life. What I am extremely thankful for, is for health insurance that allows me to go to the doctor on a routine basis to make sure that I stay healthy. Because without insurance, I would never be able to afford doctor visits, let alone hospital bills.

Well, some of my Health issues I have had for quite a long time, and many tend to get worse with age. I used to be able to do a lot more than I can now, and miss those days. Glad you have the Freedom to be able to enjoy life and your kids.

I have always been "sickly," so whenever I am feeling good and not having health issues, I really appreciate it! I am glad you don't have any health issues. It does suck being in pain or just not feeling good all the time.

Amen Jennifer. I'm thankful that I have a healthy heart, ever since I had open heart surgery five years ago this past September. A healthy lifestyle helped me keep it in check too.
