Teaching is a difficult job

I was a teacher for over 30 years, both general education and special education. It's much more than being a nanny and having a powerful voice.

Handling students is hard work. Getting kids to pay attention and learn nowadays is harder than ever before. At one time I wanted to be a teacher, but my sister actually is one.

Actually, I wanted to become a lecturer but I could not. I became an Administrator. This is a noble profession. The more you teach the more will be your exposure to the Global affairs. One needs such dedication and interest. Otherwise, this is not advisable to stick to this job. This is really a tough job.

At one time, I was in college to become and elementary teacher. Now, I think it would be extremely hard, with children being so different from at that time and harder to communicate with.

I have always got a powerful voice (from years of being leaders in my classes). Everyone suggested that I should be a teacher, I told them, 'no way in hades!' - Now reading your post, I think I did the right thing, stay far from that path .

Teaching is one of the noblest of professions. There could be nothing more satisfying than imparting education to kids, spreading knowledge and make them aware about their surroundings. Every profession has its flip side also, same goes with teaching. Given the choice, I would like to be a teacher.

Of course it is never be easy to be a teacher. I am not a patient person and therefore I know I will not be a qualified teacher. This is why I didn't choose it as my job. I know myself and I am not suitable to teach others because I am impatient

I agree with @DianneN, teaching is much more than being a nanny and to need a powerful voice. I would have liked to be a teacher, I decided for another career.

I tried applying to be an online Teacher, the sad part has I never had the chance because of the background noise. But sometimes I like to be a Teacher. Lol

Yes, I would like to be a teacher. I love to teach. Yes, we need a powerful voice to control them. Children are naughty and it is very necessary to control them. We must not be very lenient to them. A teacher's job is not easy.We need lots of patience also to handle the children.
