$100 surprise

A friend showed up the other night and dropped six boards and $100 on my floor. Apparently these are a part of some fancy bookshelves, and he scored them at a yard sale for next to nothing. He says they're worth about $400.
My task is to patch any missing veneer and sand and oil them. I'm about half way done, and it's not a really difficult project. There's one major "rebuild" on the back side of one of the boards, and I'm almost done with that.
He says he wants to pay me a bit more after they're done, but I told him he doesn't have to.

@TheHorse Very nice. That made me take a look at my Taylor, has a nice grain, but not as luxurious.

Hey, nice to be paid upfront, huh? By the way, I never noticed your uncanny resemblance to Heisenerg before.

@TheHorse yeh, same here. I miss it. My son and his wife live in Santa Fe . They picked me up a bunch of Breaking Bad merchandise one Christmas.

@CinnamonGrl One of my kid clients said I reminded him of Walter White, so I went with it. I love that show--dark humor is my favorite kind.

That goes to show how good you are in this field, forget the headlight and rims, go for the gold of restoring wood.

It sounds like both of you will come out ahead in this deal, pony.
I'd be interested in seeing the bookshelf when you get it finished.
