2 teaspoons of sea salt in 4 litres of water. It is meant to be a detox. All it did was make me sick.... There are easier ways to get healthy

I have not heard of this. I am not sure if the ratio of salt to water is good or not but drinking salty water cannot be a good thing.

@Jackalyn you are lucky you didn't make yourself seriously ill. Salt will mess up the fluid balance of your cells. (See: osmosis) Maybe you were supposed to use Epsom salts instead (taste like $hit) but all that would do is work as a laxative.

@NJChicaa No it is safe as prescribed and taken as I took it. It is a safe detox.

Try apple cider vinegar in water with a bit of honey to sweeten it instead. I drink it like a tea. It helps get things going.

I am not even sure that this is healthy, far too much salt intake, dangerous for your blood pressure.

I agree with others. Have neverheard of sch a thing unless you have a tooth ache or infection to gargle with something like that.

Detoxification isn't really supposed to work anyway. It's just a fad. And drinking salt water?? Eugh! Too much salt is bad for you, don't you know! Drink lots of water.

Apparently sea salt is not when part of a detox. I have no idea if it works or not but thought I would see if I felt better...no is the answer to that...

@Jackalyn I stand corrected! There are so many theories that they can't all be right. I wonder if they have more of a placebo type effect than anything else.
