What's for dinner? November 7

What's going on the dinner table tonight? Do tell! I am trying another new recipe from my Cook's Illustrated Cookbook: Chicken Canzanese. It is a braised chicken dish that contains chicken, proscuitto, garlic, white wine, sage, rosemary, bay leaves, red pepper flakes, lemon juice, etc. The cookbook suggests serving over boiled potatoes, pasta, or polenta but I think I'm going to make rice instead. I also plan to make some sauteed baby spinach for a vegetable. That's what's happening here. What are YOU having? I want to know!
This recipe comes from Cooks Illustrated and absolutely delicious. The original recipe says prosciutto, but I used pancetta instead because its hard to find thick prosciutto and because fresh sage is out of season in winter months, used dried sage. I used

Yum! I haven't had tostadas in awhile. My husband wanted to order them when we were just out for Sunday football but I don't like that they do them on flour tortillas. They are too thin and break then. I'd rather make them myself on fried corn tortillas.

That sounds interesting I had crockpot turkey bean soup with chocolate milk and water to drink. I'm also having Jello's Red velvet pudding for dessert.

I love Cook's Illustrated and that sounds incredible!!!! Hubby is making what he makes best indoors - Shake 'N Bake pork chops. lol. They should be ready any minute.

As always hope it was good. I made myself a salad and am finishing up my last bit of cabbage soup I had made. Good thing as I was getting sick of it. Lol

It's already the 8th here, but I'll be making beef stew with white rice for dinner tonight. Chicken Canzanese looks delicious!
