This was one of my favorite things when I was a kid and sometimes I go backward and make it a favorite as a adult. Sometimes I believe its easier and these tv dinners are so good its almost like a home cooked How many people indulged or would indulged in there good stuff or how many people would think this would be nasty.

They are good for a quick meal when you don't feel like cooking. I usually have some in my freezer for those days.

I've occasionally bought those as a treat for the kids unfortunately, we usually end up disappointed. We like our food made fresh from scratch.

I do not eat these - I prefer fresh food and produce but I know a lot of folks who do.

Sometimes they are fast and easy. They are good in a pinch.

I remember when I was a kid, we thought TV dinners were a treat. We got to eat them on TV trays in front of the TV. They do come in handy when time is short.

@Corbin We still have tv trays and usually eat on them everyday in front of the tv. If we have company we sit at the dining room table.

The key word here is "almost". It almost tastes like food. TV dinners are one of the reasons I taught myself to cook.

Hungry mam dinners are so good but so expensive. But we do buy them as a treat every once in awhile.

"Indulge" ... it seems like 'TV dinners' are the only thing I have now-a-days, and gladly! Seems like a 'rare treat' to have a meal that takes more than half an hour to prepare (I would say 'waste of time,' but the "long time to prepare"-meals are usually for 'company' (friends & relatives joining us for dinner) ... that, and I'm usually one of the guests that someone else is cooking-for.) And ... actually, it's been a little while since I've had "a TV-dinner" like that; but my usual food is 'from the frozen dinner section' ... Hot Pockets for dinner, Jimmy Dean- or frozen burrito-breakfast, old take-out from McDonald's or Pizza Hut. (and I make sure I get 'the needed nutrients' ... sometimes by adding some canned-vegetables & beans before I start the microwave)
