A home with a 2-year old kid

Being a mom is a handful. Specially when you have young kids below 5 years old. These are the years where they start walking on their own in a clumsy way, playing with all the dirty things they can hold (I don't even know why they choose the dirty ones), eating messily and seldom sleeps within the day. Our home has toys everywhere, I can't complain or he'll cry his lungs out! I have to sweep and clean a thousand times and still it's a mess, floors got food stains on it! When he sleeps early at night, there I am still cleaning the mess he made for the day. But after all the hard work of taking care of the kids, from bathing to feeding, After cleaning the house and keeping it organized from toys to dishes, after a lacking 4 hours sleep, I still wake up each morning happy and blessed that I have a 2 year old. A clumsy but sweet 2 year old.

That is part of growing for the little ones. Imagine giving birth to a child who does not play just sits around doing nothing would be so stressful. Thank God your child is active.

Im blessed with active kids, playing with them & taking care is fine by me.. its the added chores thats actually draining me, like cleaning, laundry, washing the dishes..And I have a regular night shift work..its so hard to find some help nowadays.

My mom was not around when I was growing up. But I still long for a hug or a caring advice from her, even now that I'm grown up. I think your son needs that too.

I know I can understand the feeling .. although t is not easy raising kids , it is one of the happiest period of your life , more so when you look back once he is grown and becomes independent

It is up to you not to put out so many toys at the same time. You should hide some of them and reintroduce them later. I did that and I had no trouble keeping the place in order.

Thank you! I think I'll do that..I sometimes worry they might outgrow the toys though..

I often have to remind myself that they won't be little forever.

Our little munchkin is playing up today. She has decided that she is not going to be as good as she was before. I was telling my eldest that is just what happens sometimes they have those days like we do.

They are at the age of exploring new things , tastes, and feels . Capture it because times moves too fast
