Dumb Commercial

This cute little girl is talking to the camera. She says she doesn't understand why her parents are spending their Saturdays working instead of spending time with her. It's a commercial for care.com. which is a babysitting site. I think it is dumb. Have you seen this commercial? Why is it okay for them to go ahead and work and just pay for a babysitter? Isn't time with her parents what she wants, not with a stranger.

That's a bad idea for a babysitting commercial, honestly. Surely the company can think of a better way to get the message across.

it is dumb i guess. but so hard to say whats best today. i haven't seen it yet. but i stayed at home with my 3 oldest most years. and now 2 of them 3 blame me for not having things they wanted and not always some of what they needed. the last 2, i worked but still tried to spend time with them. they blame me for not being there ! so who can say in this economy if one is better then the other?

yes the mesage is that the child hates the parents and really wants them away more because hired babysitters are more fun - sending out the wrong message

Yeah, that doesn't make any sense. Some commercials simply do not make any sense and some are even offensive.

Some parents have no choice in the matter. I haven't seen the commercial.
