Week 4

United Kingdom
November 10, 2017 3:05am CST
Success! I've lost 2lbs this week, which is what I was aiming for, so now I weigh 13 stone 2lbs It's been an unusually stressful week, and earlier in the week this resulted in me resorting to eating some really unhealthy food, but since Tuesday I've stuck to my plan and I'm so glad I did. So that's 5lbs I've lost in three weeks (this discussion has the title "Week 4" because I started on the very first day with "Week 1", so it's really only been three weeks) and my goal is to lose another 2lbs by next Friday, which will bring me down to 13 stone and very close to being below 13 stone for the first time in months! Last week's post:
I wanted to lose another 2lbs this week - as it turns out, I've only lost 1lb, but that's better than nothing [em]thumbup[/em] I went to my aunty's Halloween...

When all goes to plan, I'm eating rolled oats with pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, and chia seeds, with rice milk, for breakfast, and this actually stops me from getting hungry again until early afternoon Then I have my mushroom and chick pea curry for dinner (lunch) which is adapted from Dr Joel Fuhrman's chick pea and tofu curry recipe. For tea (dinner) I have something like Mexican lentils with salad and one wholemeal pitta bread. Obviously I don't have exactly the same thing every day but the idea is that it's vegan whole foods with mostly vegetables and only a small amount of carbohydrates

Better than you thought. Well done. Having the sh!ts must have helped. I once lost a stone and a half due to gastroenteritis. It's certainly a quick way to lose weight, but I don't recommend it.

@LilyBeBack "Some" is stretching it a tad. I thought I was going to die at the time. Never been so ill. I have the body of a racing snake so can't afford to lose that much. Luckily for you I recovered.

Yeah that's definitely helped me along Bloody hell, that's a lot! When we had the virus the other week my mam lost 11lbs from it, she was put off tea when she was being sick as well so she hasn't had caffeine now for a few weeks. Being ill is crap but it does come with some benefits

@Orson_Kart it's probably "benefits" that was stretching it, not "some" That's my daily dose of pedantry out of the way early

That is great news, it is hard for most people to stick to a diet and be able to lose weight. I keep telling myself i need to go back to eating healthy and i don't. But my weight is pretty good i've lost 10 pounds and gained 2 back so it's not too bad.

How long will you do that for? I'm no good with liquid based diets Some of my weight is definitely water retention, not a lot of it though. I do drink a lot of water but it's never enough to shift it

@TiarasOceanView Don't forget you can always message me - I might not respond straight away but I will do once Leonard's asleep Also I'd say maybe you could have one vegetable-based meal a day, and include healthy fats from nuts and seeds, so you've got the nutrients you need to deal better with stress

Thank you! Honestly when it gets difficult, the only thing that stops me giving up is the fact that I have to report back here on Friday, I'm so glad I started this and you and my other friends have been so supportive I just realised I got mixed up and said losing 2lbs would put me at 13 stone 1lb, but of course you're right and it will mean that I'm exactly 13 stone, which is something to look forward to and gives me an extra motivation this week! I've edited my post to correct that bit

Way to go! According to the doctor's scale yesterday, I gained 3 lbs since last week...guess that candy diet doesn't work after all.

Oh that's annoying, but don't let it get you disheartened! Think of all you've lost so far, you can get rid of that 3lbs again no problem

@LilyBeBack I have heard that your weight can fluctuate by 5 lbs from day-to-day, so I'm not too worried about it.
