So when hubby opened the front door to go to work. We were standing there saying goodbye when what should appear, a big old buck. He about passed out! Just stood there and looked at us, as to say yep here I am. Yep you cant get me. LOL! It was so pretty. I whispered to Tessa to go get my camera, wouldn't you know it a car went thru and there went the buck.
I'm hoping it comes around again, we had 3 does come out to the side of the house the other night and we stood there and watched them. Little ones are too cute!

I would have been a mix of slightly freaking out and also super excited. Hopefully, it comes by again!

Pretty much it is hard to explain ... lol Small town that we are about 5 minutes from the downtown part of but on the backside with a creek that runs and separates us. If that makes any sense. We have a family of Turkey here every year too.

We had a six point buck, standing in front of our neighbor's house, this week. I was so excited, then he took off:(

@Ithink When deer season opens, they will vanish into thin air.

My husband would have thought "dinner" and headed for his bow if it were hunting season.

It's nice when you can see deer up close and personal but not when it's near your car. We get all kinds of them in my yard also.

@Ithink Sadly no, but our marine life compensates for it though...

That would have startled me, as I'm not used to looking outside and seeing wildlife bigger than a squirrel. When my brother lived in Alaska, he said occasionally moose would wander up and peep in their living room window.

@Srbageldog I don't think I could do all that dark, well that and the cold .. lol I already hate it here and don't like that it gets dark so early now.

@Ithink My brother liked it in Alaska. They do have 6 months of almost nonstop daylight and 6 months of darkness, though. He says it gets fairly warm there in the summer, depending on which part of the state you're at. I have always wanted to visit there, but he moved back to California before I got a chance to and now I don't know anybody there.
