I just got a care package for my business.

I had placed an order with one of my bear suppliers...they sell me the fake fur for making my bears along with other supplies for designing and making Teddy bears. I picked up the box and about got a hernia it was so heavy! I opened the box and stood and cried! In the box was a bunch of supplies for me to get my business up and going again. I have designed and made Teddy bears for almost thirty years, and the recent fire that destroyed my home wiped out my business and all the supplies that went with it. The owner of the supply house heard about the fire and gave me enough supplies to get me going again! It is such a wonderful gift!!!!! I can't thank them enough!!!!!! I had gotten the estimate on cleanup from the fire and I went into shock! I am looking at $27,500 for cleanup and removal of debris. That isn't even considering the cost of a new home and the appliances and furniture. I haven't added in business supplies or my personal clothing. I am hoping my home owners assoc will let me have a modular home and not force me to build. Although I found a kit house for $40,000. All of that doesn't matter right now, I just feel so wonderful receiving the care package with the supplies for starting me in business again! FYI, the bear in the picture is one designed and made by me. I had enough bears in a local store that I can do a craft show tomorrow. That was another big beautiful surprise!

I never expected such a wonderful care package! I'm looking at the stack of fur for making bears and I smile from ear to ear! It gives me the strength to continue.

An unexpected kindness can mean the world. I'm so very sorry about your home. I can't imagine how horrible that's been for you.

You are so right about an unexpected kindness meaning the world! I haven't totally accepted the fact that everything was destroyed by the fire. One thing though, people listen to me when I make suggestions. As I say, I lost "things", but discovered how wonderful my neighbors are!!!!!

@allen0187 I am so thankful for all the blessings I have from the people around me. Especially from the man who is my boyfriend! From the moment we discovered that it was my house that burned down he took me into his home and has informed me that I can stay here as long as I need to. I am also blessed with all the myLot members who have blessed me with all their well wishes.

Thank you for the good wishes. It seems like all my neighbors are pitching in to help out. The craft show I did today went well too, especially for it only being a three hour show. I've done shows that lasted seven hours and I didn't do half as well as I did today.

Love your cat! The picture is wonderful!!!! I did well at the show, I sold 3 of my bears, which was spectacular for a small three hour show.

I'm so sorry to hear about the fire, but that really was a nice thing that the supply house owner did. I hope you'll get the business up and running very soon. Don't forget to give us an update!

What a dream job. Teddy Bear maker. I am so happy that the supply house sent you enough materials to get started again and I hope that you had success at the craft fair. You know? I just think good things will keep happening to you as you rebuild
