A while ago I was chatting with my boss while travelling with his Mitsubishi Adventure and he told me that he only buy gas in the morning because he feels there's more gas when you do it in the mid day. Why? He explained to me about evaporation and density. He said when its hotter the tendency that gas might be evaporating while filling up gas in the tank. But in the morning the gasoline is more dense or heavy that it will gas more. I could say no or yes to him because I really don't know about this matter. What can you say?

That is true. The reason I fuel up early in the morning, too. The heat somehow affects the flow of fuel. So, more gas is pumped when it is still cool.

Okay, so this confirm the theory of my boss. And maybe from now on I will only gas up in the morning and no more in the mid day.

@ilocosboy It has been a proven fact. The fuel stations do not give advice. It is for their advantage. Sigh.

I never really thought about that. It makes sense though. I just thought it would be better to get it in the mornings before they change how much it is in case it rises to save a few cents haha!

Yeah, cents can become bigger especially when you're filling up more than 10 liters or more. Just our mylotting, we earn cents and we are adding up to make it $5.

I see, but many people in here believe it is more advantageous when we do it in the morning.

I've heard about this before but I can't remember what exactly happens. There is a difference between filling your tank at night or in the morning. Hopefully someone else will know the answer.

@ilocosboy that is why i just drive the car when i go to school because there is a parking space. if i drive going to the hospital, i might turn around several times in order to get a space, and that is already gasoline-consuming

if the issue is avoiding heat, then how about filling up the tank at night on your way home so if you wake up late, you just drive straight to work?

When I get curious I check things out. Take a look at this I think it will answer your question.
Everybody says it so it must be true, right? "Buy your gas in the morning when it's cooler, and it will last longer." Well, the science behind this theory is sound, but in reality, it won't save you much.
