Why pay if you can get better for free?

I’ve been a regular Netflix member for almost two years. I like their shows and the HD quality streaming but they are extremely expensive. After increasing the monthly subscription fees I decided not to renew with them and started looking for cheaper alternatives. That is when I found an app name ShowBox. Not only that it has ten times more content than Netflix, but it is completely free. I had it installed on my smart tv and I’m more than satisfied. I don’t mind not having the same HD quality picture or having ads pop up while browsing movies and tv shows as long as I save 10€ a month and get something better in return. Do you use cable or streaming service to watch your favourite tv?

I use netflix right now because it’s free for six months an incentive from my mobile providerfor getting a mobile plan with them but when it expires I think I’ll be taking your advice...it’s always best to get things for free if you can

I also enjoyed it more when it was free. Their service is too expensive and they don’t update their content that often

@marguicha I mean unlike on my tablet when I watch YouTube on my tv I don’t get a nice resolution and screen ratio. Otherwise YouTube would be very nice alternative

You can find a lot of content on YouTube but streaming it on big screen is not a nice experience.

I was in the middle of typing and something happened and lost what I typed and had to go back to the beginning. I will ask my technician about this. I had cable here and it was terrible and paid a lot more than I pay for Netflix and I love Netflix. The other cable we have here do not have programs I like. I have never heard of ShowBox but will ask what he thinks about it. Thanks for sharing.

@Madshadi Thanks Shadi. I got a response back from my technician and I will stick to Netflix. I love it and have to find something new to watch.

It beats all the other movie apps I came across, both free and paid.

I have Netflix and Hulu Plus, for which I pay about $20 a month. I switched to them when I dropped DirecTV. I was paying them $115 a month so I made a good financial decision. I have not yet run out of things to watch on Netflix and Hulu Plus but I would like to know more about ShowBox. I don't have a Smart TV though. Wonder if it can be accessed through a Blu-Ray or Roku?

I think it can be downloaded on any media streaming box including Roku. But although it is legal you can’t get it from the App Store on your device. You have to go to the web version and then download it. I followed some tutorials on YouTube and it was very easy to download. ShowBox has pretty much every tv show and movie you can find on Hulu or Netflix and even more.

Try it on your smartphone first and if you like it you can download it on your tv or even use chromecast/airplay to stream it from your smartphone to your tv
