Can God's existence be proven? If you were asked to prove God's existence, how would you do it? What evidence would you present? What line of reasoning would you follow? Is there convincing evidence that God exists? Here are some reasons why I am convinced that God exists: 1) The universe, life, the human body, the brain, an orange show amazing design and intelligence. Design and intelligence point to someone doing something. Accidents do not cause designed and intelligent results. 2) The Bible, when read and understood correctly shows superhuman wisdom. There are many things in the Bible that cannot be known unless the Creator was the originator of the information. 3) We can communicate with God through sincere and humble prayer and God responds to our specific communication and concerns. Why are you convinced that God exists?

One teacher said that there is no god because we cannot see him.. The student answered - well, what about your intelligence, sir - we cannot see it either.. If this story is true or not, maybe it makes people think that there are many things we cannot see, but we have to believe them, as we can understand them in other ways.. God's creation is so amazing so only that shows there is an extremely intelligent Maker behind it.

@1hopefulman I often pray for strength for my friends and myself, and I feel better - I hope my friends get strength too.. but I understand our prayers should be more specific, so that we see when they are answered. But maybe the answer is "later" and "have more patience" or even "No" - We have to accept and trust that God knows best..

@buenavida "But maybe the answer is "later" and "have more patience" or even "No" - We have to accept and trust that God knows best.." Yes, that may be the situation at times but God answers most of our prayers if they harmonize with his will. We have to study the instructions (Bible) on how to pray and about what kind of prayers God answers.

There are many things that we can't see such as microbes and viruses but because we invented a microscope we now know they exist. If we pray and we receive a response, how can we doubt that God exists? However. it is very important that we learn from reading the Bible how to pray and be heard.

We have much in common! I have never met you but as long as you respond then I cannot doubt that you exist. If you ever visit Montreal, let me know and I will take you out for supper.

All very good ways to prove Him. I have been reading a few things recently that have impressed upon me how utterly intelligent our God is. Science is just beginning to discover some things that He put into His creation in so many complicated, yet perfectly reasonable ways! Makes me want to praise Him!

@1hopefulman I would love to. Some of it's still hard for me to put into coherent words, but it's becoming clearer all the time.

My husband is a healer in Jesus' name and many have seen proof first hand of God's existence from that. =)

Interesting! Tell us a bit more? Can he cure anything? If your family gets a cold or anything else, is he able to cure that?

@1hopefulman God can heal anything-He just uses my husband's hand in the process. My husband has been used by God to heal back problems, arthritis, limps, and shoulder pain so far. Anyone can be used by God to heal as long as they are in the spiritual mind and not in the carnal mind.

Such amazing creation and intelligence can only be created by something that is more intelligent than us. Something that is beyond our comprehension. Something that is unlike anything we could imagine.

I think you're absolutely right. To me, one of the greatest proofs is when a soul is saved through faith in Jesus Christ. Lives are transformed in ways that are not humanly possible.

Very good point! Some changes can only happen because God gives us his Spirit.

Have you seen anything about the just opened Museum of the Bible located in Washington D.C.? I would love to visit and see how they explain it.

Real faith comes about because of one looking and seeing convincing evidence of which there is plenty. I ate an orange for lunch and I was amazed by the intelligence, design and purpose of the orange. * The purpose was for someone to eat it as it was attractive and delicious. * It was designed in that it was divided into easily manageable small slices that kept the juice from making a mess and the seeds were easily spat out to grow more trees. * It was designed just right and for human consumption by someone who is supremely intelligent and who knew exactly why there should be an orange and it was gives as a gift to humans to enjoy.

@kiran8 I grew up in a religion but the religion did not make any sense to me. In my teen years I longer believed in God. I did whatever I wanted and my life became a mess. In desperation, I threw a challenge out. God, if you exist, show me some proof? I looked at different religions and started reading some religious books. As I read the Bible, things started to make sense to me. Before long, I was convinced that God existed. I wish you well on your journey of life and may you find your heart's desires.

@1hopefulman you make a very convincing point in favor of God's existence . What is essential to human beings is the belief or faith that focuses on something from which they can draw inspiration and strength. It could be mother nature for some or god for others.

This is question for debate. I believe God exists but you can't see him . Only thing is by seeing the nature it proves that God exist.

I don't know if it a subject that can be debated. I can only tell someone what I understand or what what I see or what I feel. If they don't see the same thing, what more can I say? I look at an orange and eat the orange and I say, thank you God for your love. I see a woman and I say, God, you are an artist beyond compare. I read the Bible and I say, God, you love me so much. And, on and on and on and....

God is love. Love is God
The fact that God is love, and love is God, and that love exists, proves God exists. A rock does not seem to love, but conscious souls connected to life do, and this love can only ever come from God, as life on its own can never love in this way, but only from connection to each other does God become revealed in that loving. When two or more love, God is in that love too.

@JolietJake Saint Matthew's gospel, chapter 18, verse 20. "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." This is Jesus talking as God, and as God is love, this means that love, or God, is with us too when we love another person. Love is not necessarily logical. I am talking about the higher form of spiritual unconditional love, not just human love. The fact that this form of truly altruistically alive love exists in us proves God to me every day. This too, as Felix said, is mostly a personal revelation to the person feeling it. Logic is not involved in at all.
