HELP! how to get rid of silverfish

Moved to The Netherlands 3 months ago, and I've started noticing silverfish crawling around...gross. It's a common problem in this building (and most old buildings, mine in from 1910). Does anyone have any advice on how to reduce, discourage, or get rid of these little disgusting bugs? oh.. and i have already tried everything, even the pest control team...besides that i can t even find a new place to stay, because I`m an expat sooo..till i find a new apt..do i have any solutions?

I have no personal experience but I've found that there are super household tips on the net. Here is one from wikihow:

This is the first time that i have heard about silverfish. I will try to search it.
