Doing Dishes in Our Bathtub

For almost a month, we haven't had a kitchen sink. Whew, that was hard to get use to! Anyway, as of yesterday, we now have running water in the kitchen! I'm able to wash dishes in the kitchen sink, instead of in our bathtub

Well, I've never heard of washing dishes in the bathtub! Good now you have solved the problem with your sink! Excuse you're retracted in that picture? I can see your daughter, but not you! Greetings Alessandro

It's not the new sink, it's the old one hooked back up, so we can have access to running water.

Oh my gosh! I'm glad you have your sink back! I spent a few months having to carry buckets of water to do dishes! We have a shower (no tub) and had to completely gut the entire house after tenants completely destroyed the whole house... it was not fun I will never complain about washing dishes in a sink again lol

@Daelii Yes, when our water was no longer safe to drink, we had to siphon water from a neighbor, for a week.

How good it is to be back to normal. I am glad I have a laundry sink, always better than the bathtub.

@LadyDuck Yes, semi-normal. When the new sink comes in, we will disconnect one more time.

I think you should use big basin instead of bathtub, that is more suitable.

I have had to do that before too! I know yu are so happy for that kitchen sink. I remember when we redid our bathroom and we went to the creek a few miles away and bathed. Weird but got the job done.

When we didn't have running water in our home, we went to City Hall to get a shower! We had a membership at the city gym& fitness center, so showers were optional! LOL

Wow, I bet that was back breaking! Hopefully you'll soon have your kitchen back to normal. Are you remodeling? We did ours last year. In fact, we ate sandwiches for our Thanksgiving meal!

Last year we "lost" our tub for a couple of weeks (it took forever for the plumbers to get over and fix the clog--it was BAD). I'd much rather do dishes in the tub than be stuck bathing in the kitchen sink! Glad you got it back, though. I feel the same way after dealing with an RV sink for a few months.

When our water shut off, we went to City Hall, to get our showers. That lasted about a month, which was too long.
