I Can't Believe It

Yesterday, I was happy that my Internet technician came early and set up my new box. It is working great. But, just before I went to bed, I saw a red light on my landline phone in the kitchen. Checked it and found out that the phone was not working. I checked all the phones in the house (a lot) and nothing worked. I was very annoyed, it is a good thing that we have a cell phone in case of emergency. This morning, when my coffee has brought back my brain cells, I will phone the company and discuss this problem. I hope that they can come today to fix it. I wonder if the technician did something wrong or is it just a coincidence? Not a happy camper right now, sorry for the rant.

I hope you get a quick fix for this. When our central air conditioner had the yearly service, the technician inserted the fuse box upside down which meant a non-working air conditioner. It was a quick fix.

We had exactly the same problem when the first tech guy came to change our Internet router. Internet was faster and we lost the telephone line. The second guy fixed the problem.

I can understand. The technology sometimes makes some "nasty jokes". Only one thing, you could have tried resetting the main-control panel. Maybe it could work. ... just my simple opinion ...

@marlina Ok. But it was difficult. Just turn off the router, waith for 10 seconds (about) and turn-on again. However I hope that your problem with your connession, will be solved as soon as possible. With my best wishes Alessandro

I would be upset too. My landline is the phone I use all the time. My cell is only for emergencies.

Maybe there is something the technician didn't put or connect that the phone didn't work. Hope you can contact soon the technician to have it fix.
