Just Another Day and Computer Virus

Stopping by to say hello, I have finally caught up with myLot and my notifications are empty. I also have to deliver my slate art before the 24th so I will be painting most of the day and week...
I have been getting messages from Apple telling me I have three viruses and have lost 30% of my computer...
Scary isn't it? What is scary to me is that message pops up when I'm on myLot. I'm wondering if myLot has a virus?
I got a bit nervous when it told me 30% of my computer is gone... but I have an Apple Mac.
Apple doesn't get viruses.
But I was doubting so I texted my son (the one who knows computers inside out) and his response was ignore it, Apple doesn't get viruses...
So I am ignoring the messages and fingers crossed someone hasn't found a way to get a virus into a Mac.
I just hope its not myLot with the problem.
I am happy we went with the Mac when we got rid of the last computer.
The photo above was taken in Summer where my daughter lives in the boonies of Ontario. I love she lives in the country. It so peaceful while visiting her.

I have heard that too that Apples don't get viruses, but who knows what the bad guy can do next.

Now, for the bad news... I really hope your son didn't tell you Apple products don't get viruses because they actually can. Even Apple is finally... well almost, finally ready to admit that, too. You might want to send your son this link...
The thing is, Apple products don't have as many viruses made for them, so they catch fewer of them than Windows products do. (That still doesn't mean Apple is totally free of viruses. It just means hackers aren't targeting Apple products like they are Windows products.)

I think this is a scam or a real virus if I respond so I will have to think about this and leave it in the hands of my son just to be sure.

I hope mylot does what it can to stop that. I have no idea if they can stop it but I'm glad I didn't open the virus...

Beautiful picture. I bet you do find the area peaceful. I have seen several people discuss this virus going around on Mylot. I hope they can get rid of it.

I thought that you must be painting and getting ready for the Christmas season which is quickly approaching.
Alfredo got a virus that he felt was from a link from another member here.
Not knowing much about this topic, I would suggest you send him a pm and ask him a bit more about it.

from the other comments I am feeling my computer can get viruses but I will let my sone take care of the computer, I don't want to screw it up.
