Is it just my laptop...?

Or all the computers that have Windows 10 get an update every 2 days? I am pissed off with it. Every 2 or 3 days, after I take my nap or even in the middle of using it, The laptop tells me that a Windows 10 is needed. It seems that if I don´t answer immediately, the updating starts. And many times, when I get up from my nap, the laptop seems dead. I freak out. I think that where did I leave the d**n warranty or the paper that shows that I´m the rightful owner of the beast. Then, where shall I go with it, spend money in a taxi so that the salesman tells me that I should go elsewhere. Then, when I´m about to decide to go back to the Paradise of books and teli, the laptop gives a grunt and starts to work again. It tells me not to turn it off as the update is getting installed. Now, how did it know that I was going to turn it off? So far, the laptop has not plead me not to throw it through the window. Do you have such problems? What do you do in those cases?

@Courtlynn It sounds clever. I´ll tell my eldest daughter to do that. I think that she´ll come the next weekend to steal some of my plants

@marguicha This is partly due to updates being optional with Windows 7, whereas with Windows 10 all updates are compulsory.

All Window OPs have it. You have to disable updates from your programame folder. The folder's name is 'Windows update'

I also use Windows 10 for my desktop and laptop. Fortunately they don't upgrade it so often. Perhaps once in a month or two months. I am not so sure. Yesterday my laptop had an update and fortunately it spend less time this time. Sometimes the upgrade takes a longer time and this is quite frustrating.

I have a windows 10 laptop and even if it has an update (and it almost always does) I can control when the update takes place. If I want it to update immediately I just go to update and restart. If I want to leave it on hold I put the pc on sleep.

We both have Windows 10 but for some reason Vince's computer seems to getmore updates than mine. Like you, it seems to need to update every few days. Ours might get chucked out the window one day too.

If that Window 10 update pops up while on My Lot, it's another scam to put a virus in your computer.
