Unreliable But Loveable

Met one of our family friends while we were walking to the train station a couple of hours ago. We were all happy hugging each other. Our friend is a very genuine person, so helpful and kind, so loveable.
We love her, simply love her even though we know she is a bit unreliable at times.
Odd isn't it, that there are people who are unreliable or with certain weak characters, but we just can't resist their charm and their other good points. We love them regardless.
I am wondering if our friend thought of us the same way, 'Those people are a bit 'this and this' but I still like them very much!'
You have people in your life like that I bet, someone with some bad habits which you don't care for, but you have genuine affection for them despite all that.

We are indeed odd and some are odder than others! We have a great friend but she is so into organic foods and nothing GM that it is getting impossible to work out what we can give her to eat - so we don't ask her out very often now and that is really a great shame.

Sometimes I often wonder why some people suddenly become a bit fanatical re: this organics and vegans etc. It is almost like they get obsessed with a new religion or something. Oh well, let hope your organic food friend will become ordinary like us again.

But what made we like each other in the first place I wonder, there must be a 'sameness' somewhere in our makeups? 
I like that friend of ours because she is so genuine, so sincere, nothing fake or pretentious about her etc. (but I did shake my head whenever she phoned to cancel one of our arranged outings.

A lot of people I have known are unreliable. But doesn't make them a bad person, just someone you have to look out for a little bit more haha I think it makes life a little bit more exciting how we are all built in different ways!

I don`t think so because I also do like certain people even sometimes they do some awkward things but makes me laugh I really don`t think it`s odd loving those people who might be sometimes doing things of something as they give us happiness

this simply means there are no perfect friends, maybe this is the reason why we need so many friends so we can find the trait we wanted each of them because when we found one, maybe there will be just one friend for us

I see, so the perfect friend is really best for you, the problem now, where to find the perfect friend. There are people here named Perfecto, but of course they are not qualified because its only their name that is perfect.

That sounds bad the way one has to have lots of friends in that context. (I am antisocial most of the time, so the idea of having lots of friends scares me!

Yup, I love my friends INSPITE of their little failings and I am sure they too ignore the huge gaps in me
