Does the US Post Office send you an email each day?

My wife, Anne, gets a notice each morning telling her what mail will be put into our mail box. I was surprised to find this out when she mentioned it, since I get no notice of what may be delivered. It turns out that Anne sometimes has to ship quilts or things she sells on Etsy, so she has an account with the postal service. She has a postage scale and can pre-pay postage so there is no standing in line to mail things. You just walk in and drop them off in a large cart. There is no fee for this service. Apparently, as the mail is scanned each day, the computer notes addresses of those with accounts and sends a notice. She told me today that there is a Netflix disc waiting. I had never heard of this and it came as a surprise to Anne too. Do any of you have this service

No, we seldom mail anything, to anyone. We don't get an e-mail from our postal service.

I still mail checks for bills. Anne does bills online. I am a dinosaur, I guess.

I only do, if it's an USPS package that's heading my way. It's nothing new to me. I know Fed Ex would call. Not sure for UPS.

@JamesHxstatic Yes it is. So you don't have to wait too much longer when the package has arrived.

That must be very helpful for small businesses. I had never heard of this service either. I really like being about to go on UPS and ordering a pick up for whatever day I choose if I have any packages to ship. That is very convenient for those of use that are house bound.

We can pre-pay postage and drop parcels in a large cart at the post office, but we do not have this e-mail service.

The mail lady posts that she is delivering mail on my neighborhood watch group. That's on Facebook. I guess there have been folks helping themselves to mail in my area.

@JamesHxstatic I do pay for postage online since etsy has that all built in, but I would love to have a scale and such to make life easier haha

Since she had an account with the post office I guess I can understand why she would get an e-mail from them. We do not have that service here that I know of. I do not get e-mails, but, when I get something from overseas I get something letting me know from the post office if I am not home to get it.

I've never heard anything about getting a notification about not registered mail. Especially, I don't expect getting one for free. In the case of FedEx it's standard. But these come with a price tag.

No charge involved on this, just a postage scale. You pay the postage in advance online.
