Candy Cane Flavors

Does anyone remember when the only candy cane flavors you could get were pepperment (red and white) and double mint (red, white, and green)? Then as a teen, I remember when the blueberry came out. Those were the best ones ever. Over the years, we have seen an explosion of flavors: nerds, lifesavors, jolly rancher, mint chocolate, rainbow, etc. Just about any flavor of candy has been turned into a candy cane. They year before last, one of my son-in-laws made my Christmas when he bought me red hot candy canes, talk about addictive. I ordered them off amazon throughout the year. Then last year, one of my daughters added icing to the cake and bought me lemon head candy canes. Now I was in candy cane heaven. I went to see my mom in assisted living last week, ran into Walgreens to grab her some fuzzy socks, and they had butter rum lifesaver candy canes. Well, I grabbed a box just to test them and wished I had grabbed all the boxes. Another great flavor is on the shelves. Some of these are hard to find, though, even at the holidays. So I decided to go to amazon and order my three favorites: red hot, lemon head, and butter rum. I love the blueberry just as much but they are easy to find. In my amazon search, though, I come across dill pickle and bacon candy canes. Bacon yall!! I am not surprised at the pickle, but bacon. All I can say is when it is pay day, I will be making a special purchase. I have to try those as well. What about you guys? What is the craziest flavor candy cane you have tried? Which are your favorites?

I love candy canes! It has been ages since I last had one, my teen years probably or when I was still a small kid. But I couldn't forget the flavor of those candy canes. They are my favorite. I've only had peppermint though and I'd sure want to buy some for Christmas.

I love peppermint too. I like to stir my hot chocolate with a peppermint candy cane. That is better than buying the peppermint flavored mocha.

In the early 1960s there was only one kind of candy cane that I can remember but I never got to liking them. A lot of the kids at school would get them in their lunch boxes in December.

I don't like the plain old peppermint candy canes. I like the jolly rancher flavored ones. They are my favorites.

I like the rainbow cherry flavored ones the best, but those were around in the 80s when I was a kid. I think the blueberry ones were too, but I'm not a fan.

Yea, I remember the cherry ones from the 80's. I liked them also, but they were not as available as the blueberry. (not where I lived anyway).

I'm not actually a fan of candy canes in any flavour . The regular Peppermint would be the one I choose. Mist of our candy canes come off the tree and into the trash.

I remember, as a kid, family was just he opposite. We were having to restock the tree with candy canes every week. We ate them as soon as mama got them on the tree. It is the same way now with my family.
