No More MyLotting from my Phone

There have been many discussions started about the annoying popups that have been plaguing MyLot users for the past few weeks. I never thought I’d be adding one of my own. Until last night the only pop-up I’ve had to deal with has been the “virus detected” garbage. It’s always amused me that the warning stated that my device had been infected by four viruses from “adult sites.” Not likely, since I don’t DO adult sites. Clearing it has been a bit of a challenge occasionally, but I’ve usually been pretty successful in working my way around the problem and moving on. Last night, as I was getting ready to settle down for the night I pulled up MyLot on my phone to check for notifications. I was treated to an eye-full of porn. Um. No, thank you! I will no longer be accessing MyLot from my phone and, if that garbage ever turns up on my Chromebook, I won’t be returning to the site at all. I don’t necessarily blame MyLot, but there is some garbage that I am simply not willing to put up with. Period.

I don't myLot from my phone but that would certainly keep me from mylotting if it happened to me.

It will be a while before I try accessing MyLot from my phone again. Which means I'll be here even less since my laptop isn't always convenient.

@Platespinner I feel the same. If I have to stop using my cell, I won't be on myLot very often. And I really hate that.

I've had the virus one often enough that I set the phone aside for a while. But that wasn't nearly as offensive as this particular image was!

I don't have issues with mine and I am using Chrome on my iPhone. So far no pop-ups interrupting me.

My my sister had the iPhone and iPad. It was problematic for her on both devices. Now she won't come back. It actually did something to her devices.

My phone isn't my first choice for MyLotting, but it is sometimes much more convenient than using my laptop.

@Platespinner I find it irritating typing there...

@nomus24g It is harder to type responses, but still workable. Except responding to messages. With messages, I can never actually see what I'm typing.

Well, that is not fun at all. I miss my old Chromebook. I am getting another one this year for Christmas, I hope. I have never tried to Mylot on my phone or my tablet. I hate trying to type on those small screens.

Small screens do create certain challenges, don't they!

@Platespinner Yes, for the last few years my eyes have taken a turn for the worse along with my typing skills on those screens!

Not really an image that I wanted stuck in my head just before settling down for the night

I have adblock browser installed in my mobile and I do not receive any pop up. You could try installing it.

I'm sorry you had to deal with that. I sometimes use this site on my smartphone and have never had this kind of issue.

That is strange I wonder why that happens. Guess it is good that I don't have Internet on my mobile. I work on a desk top PC always. That would certainly upset me too.

I would sometimes go on mylot on my phone. But I don't anymore. Mainly because the popups are just getting a little annoying. Like you, I'm not blaming mylot or anything. It's just not pleasant to deal with, that's all. So now, I'm just mylotting on my computer.

Luckily I only had one day of problems. I hope the popups stay off your Chromebook. I'd miss you and Emmett.

I do not use my phone to myLot due to being iPhone-compromised. Screen is way too little for me to manage myLot.
