"It Exploded!"

Once we finally got every thing going (will post link below) we set a weekend to move, whether we had help or not!!! That was the plan until my husband broke his finger!!! There was a work crew from our local prison that was out doing community service at the lake my husband works at. That day they were pounding stakes in the ground to make sure the grills were permanently in the ground so people couldn't steal them!! He was using a 3 pound sledge hammer when he hit his finger instead of the stake!!! My husband has a high tolerance of pain and he cussed and then told one of the inmates to get the Emergency kit from the work vehicle. So, the inmate went and got the Emergency kit and my husband bandaged it up and "set" it. He then went to the hospital. When he returned from the hospital, his boss said that one of the inmates stated that "my husband hit his finger so hard that it exploded!!" I couldn't figure out why some one would say it exploded. Actually, he hit his finger so hard that he did break the skin open and it was bleeding. He broke it so hard that it crushed the bones in it!!

That sounds super painful, I hate hammers and rarely ever use one.

Yee-ouch!!! I CAN imagine how that felt (I had given myself a damn good whack on my thumb about a year ago). Will he be off work for a while?

Ouch! My granddaughter broke hers too. A case of heavy glasses came down on her hand. She said it busted the bone right down the middle.

I can't believe that they didn't have a Tee-Post Slammer @STOUTjodee . That's crazy. It's gonna take a long time for that to heal.

Is it the hand he works with? His 'good' hand? That would be twice as bad.
