Freedom's Cry Has Arrived

I got the e-mail that said my books would arrive yesterday, but it was actually today. I ordered two copies of all my books, plus an author copy for myself. When I went to track my shipment, it told me it would arrive before 5 PM. It did - 4:30 PM. I've been chomping at the bit all day. So, here they are, all together. I feel like a brand new mother waiting for her child to be born. I've also been writing for a good part of the day, and watching a couple shows, one a movie, the other a series I've seen before, to watch the action unfold. I need to get a handle on the action for New Horizons. All that will be taken care of when I finish the first draft, which has a ways to go. I am however, putting the pieces together, to see where it's going. Writing a book can be a lot like putting a jigsaw puzzle together. Once all the pieces are in place, you can see the picture. For New Horizons the picture is starting to emerge. It's a fun story to write, it will be even more fun when I finish the first draft and then start on the revision, filling in the holes, and making the picture more complete. So, that has been my day. Now, I will spend some time here and read your posts and take care of notifications. How has your day been? Thanks for reading.

There are problems in publishing own books in the Philippines, first you have to secured ISBN and you do it not in your own place but you have to travel more than 400 kilometers, then the high cost of printing, then third is the very few sales market for books, too few that sometimes only the writers are buying your books. Its not a hobby in here to read novels. That is the reason why writers here are one of the poorest.

That is fantastic and you should feel proud of what you've done. I'm not even sure where to start to write a book. I know from life I could probably write a dozen or so books but I have no idea how to do this. I can write short stories or even poetry, but as for a book this one isn't easy at all.

A lot of people can't write books, so you're in good company. Thank you. I am very happy with this accomplishment. Now, I'm working on the next for publication. I should have that one published some time next year.
