Vaping?

I noticed that the fad of vaping has already lost its appeal. As I drive through the busy areas of town I no longer see those small shops in business anymore. I know one lady that has been vaping for around a year and the last I heard she has lung cancer. Do you think vaping is safe? After all you still get nicotine.

I never understood this one and it was a big fad in France for a while. I don't see them around here anymore or sold in the stores like they did a year or two ago.

@andriaperry I think what I didn't like about them is that young kids ran around here with them in their mouth trying to act all big and adult like. They didn't say much because they weren't really smoking.

In my opinion, anything that is nor normal to get to the lungs can make one sick. And this is true with vaping. Imagine how much smoke is being emitted by one who is vaping. My nephew is vaping. And whenever he is vaping, so much smoke is emitted. so, he vapes at the garden, far from the house where my parents are. That's the instruction to him, that's why, by my father.

I still have my vape pen and stuff. I'm a bit leery due to the exploding batteries and the popcorn lung.

@andriaperry - This can explain it better than I can.
WebMD explains popcorn lung, a condition that can be caused by chemicals that flavor microwave popcorn and some e-cigarettes.

A lot of vape pens do not have the nicotine, but some do. It is silly, but there is less chance of second hand smoke.

BUT, we do not know what those other chemicals are doing to the lungs, puffing nothing is the safest. No I do not smoke either.

I do not think that vaping is safe. Vaping is still popular here in Manila. There are a lot of vape shops here catering to the vapers.

@andriaperry There probably is. Maybe I don't mix in the right (wrong) circles. Maybe it's because I mix hardly at all.

You still get nicotine. I thought that was the point of vaping. No nicotine.

I heard right off that it was not safe from a doctor. stupid people kept trying to tell me to try it because of my yearning for cigs. that I gave up. glad you pointed this out here. the word needs to get out

We don't know exactly what's in them so I don't know if they are a safer alternative or not. I know there are some without nicotine in them though.

I wouldn't say it's safe. Only a bad thing like lung cancer can come out of it
