Annie Lennox sings “I Need a Man” in almost tongue-in-cheek manner as she talks about what she does not seek in a man. The official video portrays Lennox as a glamorous singer in a nightclub setting. She does not desire a man wearing a dress who shaves his legs and double combs his hair. “No powder puff just leave it rough.” Perhaps she was thinking of her male alter-ego Earl. From the album “Savage,” “I Need a Man” charted at US #46 and UK #26.

Reminds me of a line in a Tom Robinson song: “she needs a man like a fish needs a bike.” Good song.
BTW, the morning meeting at work turned into a Eurythmics chat thanks to you.
