Stressful few days

Dad got rushed to hospital and was in resus and then on AMU and finally a surgical ward. Mum thinks they saved his life and now he is home. The diagnosis was "community acqured pneumonia." To be honest he still sounds bad and looks ill. I am with my parents and now it sounds like my daughter may be getting sick. Never rains but it pours. I will myLot again once things calm down.

Pneumonia is always a worry, but especially in older people. I hope your Dad makes a full recovery, and that your daughter is ok.

Vince has now been immunised against pneumonia. He had it three times before that. I do hope your father will be okay.

He is still coughing but was sent home. I find it hard now he is so old.

I am home now and not really sure anyone feels better, but we are soldiering on. It is difficult to know when to stay and when to go. At least Dad is out of hospital.

Glad he is home again and hope he makes a good recovery. Pneumonia is dangerous, especially as you get older. My Dad had it twice, the first time they thought it would kill him but he made a surprising recovery, the second time several years later unfortunately did finish him off.
