I have been in a size 20 from the age of 18 as i was watching tv i find that 2 out of 3 commercials are of food. Are we make the U.S.A. fatter by playing so many food commercials on the tv. Should the U.S. banned food commercials on kids tv networks?

Nope. I don't think commercials are to blame. It's parenting. Why are kids watching that much tv that a commercial or two about food is going to negatively impact a kids life to be worth banning? Turn off the tv. Live by example. Have healthy food selection at home. Sure enjoy a treat every now and then. It's not a special treat if every day. It's not easy but changes can happen if we work for them.

Good advice! It's easy to blame TV. The change must begin within yourself, though.

No, the problem is more complex than that. Changes in work styles meaning that most people no longer do manual work of any sort but just sit at desks all day, the fact that almost everyone drives almost everywhere and anyone walking or riding a bicycle can even be subject to abuse, the fact that high-calorie food is so cheap and so readily available... many factors are at play. If you have always been on the large side there may be more physiological aspects to this as well. But like many problems, you can make a change if you want to. Weight creeps up over time and if you make changes it can come off slowly as well. Start by turning off the TV - then you won't have to watch the commercials at all and you can get off the sofa and do something more active instead.

No. Parents and people need to control what they buy and what they put in their mouths.

TV commercials doesn't affect the increasing rate of obesity in your country. It actually depends on your appetite to what kind of foods you eat. It's all just about control and decipline and being not too glutinous...
