There are so many little things in life that make you feel happy. Whether it be clothes fresh off the clothesline, a cat purring, a good hair day, rain on a tin roof, popping bubble wrap, babies giggles or cute little puppies.

As much as I despise snow, I love to watch it fall slowly from the heavens and land gracefully on the ground.
My favorite by far is the ocean. Watching the waves come in from afar and roll out again. Blissfully wonderful.

I agree about the waves. We tented a few times at tje beach and it is so soothing to fall asleep listening to the waves lapping the shore.

I will go with the cat purring, a good cup of coffee, hearing people laugh, and a warm, sunny day especially during the late Fall or Winter..as long as it is time limited.

Seeing Kobe at the back door, first thing in the morning. Hugging my grand-children. Sinking my teeth into a gluten-free hamburger. Playing ball in the back yard. Sharing a phone-call with Aubrey. Holding a baby. Receiving a loving card in the mail.

A new pen seems to always brighten up my day. I have accumulated so many pens: byros, fountain pens, etc, that one day my workmates made a joke about me being the suspect for the recent disappearances of pens from the front desk. Played along with it and sent them photos of my pen collection. And I'd get responses like "Exhibit A" or "caught red handed" or "Police are on their way" and all that. 
Truly, the simplest things in life can bring a smile to my face.
