Warm feet

It seems as though if my feet are warm it is much easier to keep all of me comfortable. Today there is a brisk wind and moisture blowing out of the north. I can appreciate warm socks and shoes. I also rub a salve on my feet that in the US is known for "soothing vapors". It has menthol and eucalyptus among other things. Old wives tales say rubbing this on your feet stops coughs. I am not sure about that, but it softens the skin. I wish for you today warm and comfortable feet. Time to go do house chores, but I will see you later.

I'm delighted to say that for this far into November my area is continuing on with a mild heat wave. Rain? Fine. Love it compared to the blizzard that will probably be here next month. For now I am barefooted and sleepy.

It is not very expensive, especially the store brand at Dollar General. I also like a pricier product I get on Amazon called "Outback Pain Relief". Some people say to sprinkle cayenne pepper in your shoes to keep feet warm.

Eucalyptus is good for us, not necessary rubbed on our feet. But in the humidifier it helps us breath better.

I love having it around. I have had it in other pain relief products and I will put the essential oil in the bath sometimes.

Most "old wives tales" are really wisdom. If you have warm feet, you can sleep much better. Rubbing menthol salves are old meds to help.

Actually it has been shown that wearing socks to keep your feet warm in bed promotes better sleep.

It is so cold here that I actually slept with my socks on last night which I never do, burrrr. I have never tried rubbing it on my feet, interesting concept.

@BarBaraPrz and @BelleStarr hubby sleeps with socks on almost year round. I remembered about putting Vapor Rub on feet because he says he has toenail fungus and it is a gentle remedy for that condition.

I agree, when my feet are warm the rest of me is too. The salve for your feet sounds very nice.

As others have asked, it is Vicks, or the store brand. I remembered to get some as hubby says his toe nails look like they have fungus and it is supposed to heal that as well.

I can't sleep if my feet are cold. I have some lovely soft bedsocks that I wear if the weather is cold.

I left a pair in Minnesota in June, accidentally. There are lots of pretty ones and I may get more.

It is better on their feet than up too near their face or where they can get it on their hands and in their eyes and mouths. We always used it. I had a cat the loved the smell of it, and she tended to get congested. I would put it on top of her head where she could not lick it off.
