I think shopping online is better for me

I say this because I was just at Walgreen, went in tried to get my buggy out of the holder and this woman pushed me really hard. I looked up and she walked out the door, with a big suitcase. The activated device on the door said to come back in see the cashiers. Well she just had shop lifted and on the way out dropped one of the items. My mom was in the car and saw her get in the car a few cars down. She didn't realize she had just shoplifted, but saw her with the big suitcase and moving quick. Must have been a pro at this, but in the end is it really worth it? Can't imagine what types of things she put in the suitcase, and I can't imagine no one seeing her do this or any of the employees.

I was blocking her exit, they have one way to get out that isn't by the register, so she wanted to get to the door.

No one told here, no security in the store, she probably made off with a lot of stuff.

Some shoplifters also have a weapon hidden. That's why I'd never take it into my own hands, to stop that lady!

The worker went out to look, but what can she really do? and your right if she is armed or the person in the getaway car, you would get hurt. I know when I worked in the grocery store, they told us not to go after anyone, I never would have, too dangerous.

People shoplift all the time unfortunately. You right though it is not worth it in the end. Karma will come to her eventually.

Wow. That easy to shoplift? Doesn't the store have cameras?

@CookieMonster46 Yeah. Sometimes these stores just use fake cameras as a preventative measure. They just can't afford the real thing. In my country, most petrol stations have cameras but the resolution is so bad that when something happened, they can't even see the faces of the perps.

sometimes they do not always work, and someone needs to be watching them to see it happening.

You'd think a big firm like that would have security at the exits - they's surely pay for themselves in no time.

@jaboUK Walgreen's is a profit. Big profit company. They have you work alone in the store to save money. They would never pay more for security.

I wonder, did that lady just march in there with a suitcase and fill it up with stuff? And no one noticed? I'm sorry she hit you. I agree, sometimes it's better to just shop online -- you don't have to deal with other people's craziness.

I had to think someone saw her, i mean, it looks a little odd to be going down the aisle with a suit case, they should have noticed that when she came in.

Our cashiers are right by the door, and would have stopped someone just walking out without paying. I'm surprised she was able to do so.

they are by the door too but behind the counter and ringing up customers. I think people are afraid of getting shot, you don't know what a shoplifter will do , or the person waiting in the get away car.

you need to be watching the camera, in the store it was a camera that showed the store in four parts, The store i used to work in.. If no one was watching you miss things.. You can play it back and watch and turn it over to the police, after the fack.

I almost prefer online shopping these days as opposed to going to the store. The stores are so busy and the long lines at the registers keep me from wanting to go inside. Sometimes you need to though as it is easier to buy groceries when you can see what you are buying first. However, I have found a few things online that I'll purchase and have them either shipped to me or pick them up at the store. Even when shipping them to the store there is a long line to pick up orders.

I agree, a lot of shoplifter are pro. As I've seen in a shared cctv foortage of shoplifting incidents in a social media they dress up like professional.

Sometimes Walgreen' only has one employee on the cash register and when someone shop lifts you are not suppose to go after them. So it is easy for them to shop lift especially at night while you are in the back of the store stocking.
