Thanksgiving is just around the corner, it will be here in just 4 more days. This year it will be easy for me. This is the first time in years that Thanksgiving dinner is not being held at my house. I have finally admitted that I just can't handle it this year because of all the health issues I have been having so we will all be going to my sister-in-laws. The only thing I have to do is bring a couple of pies and a fruit tray. Easy-Peasy. I do realize though I will have to bring along a couple of things that I can eat. Being on the whole30 diet by doctors orders and a soft diet at that, there is not much I will be able to eat. So I think I will bake myself a sweet potato, chop up some turkey and green beans with garlic, and eat from the fruit tray. I also have a new item that I have now decided to bring thanks to @just4him for sending me the recipe a cheese ball with veggies and crackers. It sounds so good. I can't eat the crackers but if I can find some veggies that I can be soften then I am in business. What are you guys doing for Thanksgiving? I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving day.

Thanksgiving seems so far behind me when I read this. Ours is held in October. We do not have a holiday to celebrate during the month of November so reading about yours is a fun way for an almost holiday. I hope that you have a wonderful time together when you gather later this week.

@Juliaacv I forgot all about the different Thanksgiving times for our countries. We of course will have a happy, belly busting time. Hope yours was terrific.

@marlina I had forgotten. It's kind of funny how we all seem to have different holidays and celebration times.

We do not celebrate Thanksgiving, the next big celebration is Christmas.

@HazySue Well, you surely know that the "First Thanksgiving" was celebrated by the Pilgrims after their first harvest in the New World in October 1621. So you can very well understand that we do not celebrate this in Europe.

I hope you find items you can eat when you get there. At least you don't have to cook so that has to be a plus.

I will have plenty to eat. You won't believe how many different dishes will be served that day. I will especially enjoy not having all the chores that come with celebrating a holiday.
