Squirrels! My Relatives!!

I have no problem with squirrels. I see one, I throw it a peanut. No problem!
There’s a black cat that sits at the bottom of these old shelves occasionally. I don’t think it’s Scar; then again, I’m only about two and a half hours from his castle.
They hear my garage door open and they begin to congregate. One will even make his way to the grass by the garage and wait for his peanut.
Even wild animals can be tamed to a degree.
I’m squirrelly so they are my relatives!

Yes, in the 80s. I think we had a local punk band named Squirrel Brains, too.

@JohnRoberts — I don’t see Scar as a connoisseur. He’s more of a squirrel guts kind of cat.

People across the street from me feed the squirrels, and birds. They throw out bread for them, large chunks sometimes, that often end up in my yard. Not particularly happy about that, so tell your relatives to eat where they're served, thank-you-very-much.

I feed them “bird seed,” which means they sit there and eat it until they’re fatter than JJ’s squirrels.

The squirrels here aren't so tame. Although I have gone out on my balcony to find some hanging out there, and they just turned and looked at me like "what are you going to do about it?"

That is a lot of squirrels. I have only seen some here in the city parks.Here's a song for you.

When I was working at a homeless shelter in Wyoming, the squirrels by the men's smoking area were so used to being fed that they would take chips and stuff right out of your hand.

Their own dining area. A squirrel chased my daughter at the park last summer. I thought it was pretty funny until it was my turn. I once heard that if we called them tree rats everyone would hate them. I still love them though since they are so funny.
