A Very Different Sunday

When I woke up this morning I had three things on my mind: church, football, and getting to 50K today, which I will do. However, that's not exactly what happened. I went to church, and got home, made my breakfast because I didn't eat beforehand, and then sat in my recliner to watch the game. It was just beginning when a knock came at my door. I should have worried, considering the security locked building, but it was my younger son. He wanted me to go with him mattress shopping. I never pass up a chance to be with my children. No problem, I had the game on DVR, so I turned it off and went with. Now as we started out, my knees were in top shape, however, when you have knees like mine, walking a lot is not an option, and it didn't take long before my knees were begging me to sit already. He looked at mattresses, and will go back to the shop later this week and buy it. Then it was off to Best Buy to look at washer and dryers. He didn't want to spend an arm and a leg, only an arm on a set. He took pictures with his phone, and then it was - wait for it - back to laptops. I decided to see what they had for a laptop that worked the way I want it too. I looked at a Chromebook, but by then my knees were screaming at me. So with thoughts of a well working laptop in mind, we left Best Buy, but we weren't quite finished. He needed to stop at a pet center. What do they have in pet centers? Adoption and pets are allowed in with their owners. The dogs were so cute, but neither of us can have pets. He was picking up a scoop for his x-roommate whose litter scoop broke. I also looked at fish, with thoughts of getting a fish. Though those didn't do anything for me. After that it was time to go home. My knees were happy with that thought. He did want to go out to eat, but he knows I'm on a diet and realized there is nothing I can eat in fast food, so he just took me home and I sat in my recliner, turned on the game on the DVR and my laptop, and proceeded to watch the demise of the Packers as the Ravens shut them out in a first ever, for me anyway, game. The announcer said it happened to the Pack a long while back. I just don't remember it happening. I probably wanted to put that misery out of my mind. It's not that the Pack played bad, it's that the Ravens played that good. I actually got a lot done on my laptop. So maybe it sensed I was intending to replace it and it actually worked for me. So it looks like I don't need a new one after all, or maybe I just need to have patience while I learn how to work it. Now that the game is over, I have my supper cooking - probably should have put it in the crock pot, but didn't. Making a nice beef stew, and I'm on my PC now, and getting some notifications finished before I head over to my book and get the last 1200+ words finished to make up the 50K challenge for a definite win of this challenge. I do not foresee any problem in that happening. So that was my day. Now back to the notifications and your posts. How was your day? Thanks for reading.

I wish they didn't either, but knee replacement is in my future, and they let me know it if I stand or walk too much. It was great getting out with my son.

You've done well for the day. It was nice that you were able to go out with your son - even if your knees didn't appreciate it.

They didn't, but a bit of Ibuprofen and a good night's sleep and they are back to normal.

Yes, I did do a lot. I'm so glad for the weight I've lost, or my back would have joined in on the pain department. It didn't hurt at all.

I did absolutely nothing today, other than wash dishes and play on the computer. I took allergy medicine last night and it knocked me for a loop, so I wasn't up to doing much at all.

Sunday was busy, as well as yesterday. All I want to do is sleep today, so not sure what is going on. Hope I am not getting sick again

Oh, I have dishes to do again, but I am headed to the bedroom to rearrange furniture on hubby's side, as mine is done.

Hope you got to 50k words and the knees start feeling better. Day is so-so. Not much happening in my neck of the woods.

You were very busy. Glad you got to spend some time with your son. We went to church for the morning service and then again for Bible study at night. The kids are putting on a play and Lil Keith is in the play. They were practicing for 2 hours because they will not practice on Wednesday due to Thanksgiving. The twins were in Bible school too. The church bought pizza for everyone so that no one had to worry about cooking that late. It was a very good day.

Your son made you do a lot of walking around with him. But time spend with your son is always good. I hope your knees are doing better now.

You should try those knee wraps from Tommy Copper @just4him . They work great and they are not that expensive.
