30 day Thanksgiving Challenge Day 19 I am thankful for a decent vehicle. We have had many, in the past, that we didn't know if it would make it from one mile to the next. My van, now, is a little older, but it has held up pretty well. As with any mechanical product, there have been problems here and and there. It has survived teaching three teenagers to drive and is now holding up for the fourth. It may seem silly to be thankful for a vehicle, but I am so very thankful! I believe God opened the doors for us to purchase this van back in 2009 and He knows I have driven many miles on prayer.

God knows what we need and help us get it if we open our hearts and minds to him. He has known that I need an older (vintage) sewing machine. I have had a LOT of people offer, but the machines don't show up. I don't want to nag because people are busy and forget. Last night I received a phone call from one of the ladies on the combined board of directors for the board of directors for the non plus home owners groups behind the main gate. She has vintage sewing machine she wants to give me. She was wondering if the one this afternoon would work? I about crawled through the phone and hugged her!!! I am so thrilled and so thankful over the offer!!!!! It doesn't matter if the machine works, it's the offer of the machine that makes the difference!!!! Either way, whether the machine works or not, She is going to get the stuffing hugged outta her!!!!!

@gnatsmom I received a call from her yesterday that she got called into work and we wouldn't be able to meet until today. The time and day doesn't matter, it's that the woman is being so wonderful by sharing something she has with me, someone who needs it so much and can't afford it right now! People don't stop to realize how much they can help a person....if they just stop and look at their lives. How often do we have things we really don't need that someone else not only can use but needs desperately? Instead of hoarding the stuff, pass it on to the next person that needs it! Let people know you care!!!!!
