Oh my aching back

I was on my feet a lot at work today and doing a lot of bending. My lower back is so sore. After I had my surgery I had a lot of spasms in my back. There were days I could hardly even move. They warned me that back pain could become an issue for me and lately it has. By the end of the day I am in so much pain that it is even difficult to walk. I just took a few Aleve so I am hoping that will help. Later I will sit it a hot bath tub.
Do you have problems with your back? If so what do you do to deal with the pain?

Oh no. I hope that you can rest well tonight and get rid of that aching pain.
I fractured a couple of vertebrae when I was a teenager, so yes, I've dealt with ongoing back pain since I was 16 and had that happen to me. There are nights that the pain wakes me and instead of taking anything for it (as it doesn't really do anything in my case) I just usually get up and put the heating pad on it.

@Happy2BeMe Put it on your Christmas list, I'm sure that one of your kids would love to buy you one.

I have problems with mine since I carried the twins, spasms are no fun. I have been so bad I was bed ridden for almost 3 weeks. I also have back pain in one way or another everyday. I just watch what I do or try to. When I garden I have to take a lot of breaks. I use an All day Pain reliever I get at Dollar Tree, at times, heat and cold. I'm sorry you have this too.

I have the occasional back pain because of not sitting in a proper posture or sitting too long, but it's usually not serious and will go away by itself. Sorry you're experiencing a lot of pain, I hope the hot bath and Aleve help.

I have back aches times to times since my 40's. I also take NSAIDs to help, Ibuprofen or Ketoprofen. The second one is more efficient but it gives me stomach aches if I take it during several days. I wish you to feel better soon. Take care of yourself.

Low back pain comes with the territory! I have to stretch it out if it happens while I am working. At the end of the day I will take a couple of ibuprofen and sometimes use a heating pad while I rest in my lazy chair.

Yes i've had back issues for years, my spine is out of line due to my scoliosis. My boyfriend gives me a back massage with icy hot every now n then and most times I just deal with it. I hope you get some relief soon with your back pain

@Happy2BeMe Voltarene cream (or a similar unbranded product) helps a lot and at least you do not put pills in your body.

@LadyDuck after I comment on this I realized that i had a tube of Voltarene cream that I got in the mail as a sample so I put some on my back last night before I went to bed. It worked great.

I have serious spinal injuries @Happy2BeMe , so yeah. All I take is baby aspirin though and the pain better be at plus 10. For the back though I do use a Tommy Copper waist belt and it is marvelous. I think on line it's only $19.99 too. It's just one piece that you literally wrap around you and it sticks to itself. It's 7" at it's widest place so it's not awkward or inconvenient. I tried other back supports and they sucked. For higher up locations you can try the Icy/Hot Patches; they are wonderful too.
