Poetry: When the pain of life stops you in your tracks

Stan was frozen so rigidly lifeless in his pain

The love in Stan was all dead and buried. He had lost himself so deeply in his pain. Stan left his real self so long, long ago, now he doesn't know who he is as he remains. Stan just wanted to leave life and be finished. His own life felt dead and so uselessly wasted. He had no motivation, or energy at all to live. He'd died to himself. He had no life left in him. Stan had no future to look forwards to, to go to. He was locked so fast into the pain of his now. His now continued onwards, unchangingly, forever. Stan wanted to leave it, but he couldn't, it seemed. Until now, Stan has not the strength to love life. He is so afraid of others and of upsetting them. He doesn't know the solution is not a solution. To be yourself in a world of hurt is to love, love. Addendum: How can Stan be filled with love's energy of truth, once more again? Love lives in us all, but do we live within it. This means to let God be love in you, you must allow yourself to be God within Him, which is not you being all of God, but you just allowing what is now you to be love or God in god, as you.

I felt depressed when I wrote it too. I wrote it to try to lift my own depression a bit.

I don't think he meant it to be depressing. Life in this world can be depressing but we have to find reasons to keep going and love helps us to do that. Welcome to myLot!

@1hopefulman Yes, I did not really mean it to be depressing, more to show that even in the darkest nights of our depressions, love is still the answer, the shining light in our darkness, the torchlight that can lead us out of our pain, once more again.

The solution looks complicated to me. Can you put it in a way easy to understand?

The solution is complicated to our minds. That's why I tried to explain it in poetry. But I will have another go at it now. Love grips all of life within its palm, but when you grip onto that palm afraid to leave it, and be yourself, you can never be your real self, while you are still maintaining your fearful hold onto love. When you let even this go,( i.e. your need to hold onto love, without it holding onto you,) you only then can free yourself to be yourself. Love then is free enough in you for you to be free enough in it, for you to be your real self then too. The idea is not even to be attached to love, so much so, that you fear it. Simply, just love love, and not be fearful of the love in you enough to let it go out of your heart into your life, rather than remaining locked away within a tight-fisted fearful approach to life, Stan dreamed of flying. He had the power to do so. Many a time he had flown before. This time he wanted to know.

Thanks, Shohana. Titles can be hard to write sometimes. I noticed, depending on the title, it relates to the number of people that respond to the discussion. A good title certainly helps.

Yes, we all need to know our true role as a co-creator as we are at the apex of all species and that carries responsibility. When we live with the right attitude nothing can really faze us; we should take even misfortunes as blessings. No one should be allowed to hurt us, then we lose our independence as few will try to lord over us. My attitude is to go through even the eye of the storm but then there is always the all clear sooner than imagined possible. Life is to be enjoyed with its myriad variety as a straight line method will be just not worth it - siva

Love helps us to create and to take on our true role as a co-creator. Without love, we can never fully achieve this role, as something is always missing, in that we lack sufficient firepower to be able to love fully, when we do not embrace God's love fully in our lives.

@Shiva49 Very nicely worded siva. There is nothing much that I could add to that. Yes, I think that love does take over in one sense, but in other ways, it just is being allowed to play its real and natural role in our lives then. When we allow love to be us, we be love in us, individually alive within God's oneness.

@innertalks When we love the whole process of creation and our obvious role in it, love takes over our mission and purpose of our existence. Then we fully integrate with the flow of creation and then bliss is complete - siva

Thanks. Yes, it does help to put our feelings out in our writing like that, especially if we are a bit afraid to show them in person to someone, and so usually keep them all bottled up inside, as I do.
