So I went out shopping for the holidays with my husband and kids. For the most we shopped separately and switched off with the kids.
I found a few good deals that we hadn't planned on, so I tried to sneakily show him without the girls seeing. They apparently saw and then I tried to deny buying them. I thought I was good at bluffing with my tiny white lie.
Nope!
Apparently my oldest can tell when I fib. Oops!
So what tricks have worked for you to shop and keep things a "secret". Last night I had tied shopping by myself and then switch the toys to hubby so he could pay for them and some other items he wanted to pick up while I took the kids off for a different distraction.
Boy do I miss the days I could say "close your eyes" and hide something in the cart!

I mostly shop online now so I just have it hide it in the house somewhere. =)

@Daelii My kids tried one year and saw a couple things but they don't do that anymore because I gave what they really wanted to another child. Now they would prefer to not be so nosy.

I just used to wrap gifts as soon as I bought them. If the wrapping was tampered with, I knew someone was looking when they shouldn't have.
Santa gifts I used to do with layaway and pick them up the week of Christmas.
