When I was away...

Saturday, while I was away on a business trip, got a message that my Haiiro wasn't eating and weak. I immediately told the nanny to bring him to the vet and asked what made him so ill.
The nanny saw him playing with a frog the eve of Friday. Saturday he was already vomiting. He got poisoned. I got extremely worried because I couldn't be there to hear what the vet would say. When I got back I couldn't visit him as the vet is 60km away from my home and I had to take care of things in the office. I was assured though that he's doing well.
Today, I got the message that he's back to his healthy self and he's ready to go back home. Will get him tomorrow. What a relief!

No he didn't. But his teeth and claws are sharp. It must have punctured the frog and that relaxed the poison.

Thank you. I was really worried and I hate bringing my pets to the vet because of an illness.

that was a close call. i'm glad the nanny noticed and took action by calling you and following your instructions. i thought he was an indoor cat.

He is an indoor cat. He's never allowed to go outside at all. There was this tiny frog that got into the house. I was told they pass through the water pipes.

Frogs and toads both secrete poisons through their skins. Glad your kitty is doing better.

Maybe the frog has some poison defense in its system that it affected the cat. My dog once played with a frog before.
