Face book fights: better than watching football?

One well meaning person states on Facebook that his/her family wants to give another family a turkey for Thanksgiving.
Nice, right? Innocent, right?
This simple act got the ball going. One person answered: Hey! Why you giving away a turkey? People should just go to the food bank.
Someone butts in: turkeys are all given out at the food bank. They're giving out chickens now.
First person: Well, my Dad volunteers at B food bank. They have so many turkeys that they are handing them out to the volunteers.
Well, B food bank did not share with A food bank.
And on it goes: someone else chimes in. Just be grateful you are getting dinner! Chicken, turkey, what ever.
So you take that punch. And you over there, you take that one.
I'm heading out, getting ready to make a cherry pie. So nah nah nah!

What is wrong with people? I almost never say anything on Facebook for exactly this reason. People are mean!!!!!

@sallypup I am sorry that people didn't respond but maybe some people are embarrassed to admit that they are alone and lonely. I think if I am being honest, it would take a personal invite to get people to come. So if you know someone like that, give them a call.

@BelleStarr I hear you. We don't know very many people in this community so we thought of it as a way to get to know someone.

@BelleStarr I agree with you. People are mean. A couple of years ago I posted that my house was open if a person was lonesome and wanted to have Thanksgiving dinner with us. No takers so I quit.

I don't see stuff like that but then I've got mine on a private setting so that only a few people I know are on my feed. Oh, almost forgot, I've liked so many Animal Sactuaries, Pet Shelters and sites like Defenders of Wildlife that leave photos of their causes on my feed, those I usually share with my friends but none of them get into fights.

Oh yeah, those @sallypup I'm at a point now where I choose to view the photos of the homeless pets they are trying to find furever homes for. The ones that upset me are those about wild animals and how humanity is treating them, I only watch to keep informed.

I have one brother on facebook, a couple cousins and that is it, I deleted all the others, they got mad but I am not into their "gotta be right, putting each other down" drama. For me facebook is filled with my friends and I can chat there, not a bunch of crap.

@andriaperry I deleted all my relatives and now have only friends on Facebook.

It would look like they would find something better to argue about.

People really should quit judging other people. However, I don't think that is gonna ever happen..Maybe at least try to judge silently lol.

This is why I'm not on FB. I can't stand this sort of rubbish. I just wish they'd get a life.
