Fire whether cause by nature or man-made--deliberate or through negligence--- is still among the most destructive forces of nature. No wonder fire is consider as among the four elements by the ancients: Earth, Water, Air and Fire. Fire spare nothing and it is really worth it to have smoke alarm and be security fire conscious. I have smoke alarm in my home as a precautionary measures. Do you have smoke alarm in your home? Do you have a regular check up of your home like electrical wiring installations or anything that might cause fire? Are you fire security conscious? Picture credit: apia.org.nz

Yes I am and yes we do. I also make sure they are in the rentals. Fire is the best thing and the most evil.

@mandala100 Thanks Peter. I had to do something when I had the gas link. I was lucky but others have not been. I got sick but survived. Since I got that I wanted a smoke detector too. Better to be safe than sorry.

Yes, we do have smokes alarms here. One on the first floor and one in the basement. We also have two carbon monoxide detectors.

Yes, I have a smoke alarm and am very careful not to start a fire. I don't smoke.
