Boulevard of Broken Dreams

It is over and it is sad. My teen idol David Cassidy has joined the rock and roll band in the sky on November 21. Suddenly I feel like I’m reeling back through the years. I also paid tribute to him on my music blog. Fitting that the rain is crying from the sky. “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” is a song that he sang which I know expressed a lot of the heartaches and broken dreams he himself experienced. He came into this world as David Bruce Cassidy on April 12, 1950 in New York City. When he was sitting on top of the rock world he was one of the highest paid entertainers in the world and his official fan club was the largest in pop history. Cassidy was very talented and could play the guitar, piano, drums and clarinet. At the age of 14 he formed a band called The Pains of Glass and performed at parties. He quickly rose to stardom when he joined the TV series “The Partridge Family”. He has been married three times and has a son Beau Devin Cassidy and a daughter Katherine Evelyn Cassidy. His son is a talented musician, songwriter and performer and his daughter is a talented actress. He was the son of actress Evelyn Ward who died in 2012 after suffering from dementia. His father was actor Jack Cassidy who tragically died in a fire in 1976. His father married a second time to actress Shirley Jones and Cassidy performed in “The Partridge Family” with his stepmom. He has three stepbrothers Shaun, Patrick and Ryan. I remember summer days, teen years shine and will always remember you David. I have added a photo of me as a teen with my David posters.
Help get David Cassidy inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Please sign the petition below! Thanks! http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/induct-david-c...

My teen years everything had to be David @JudyEv and you know what I find interesting no that it could have ever happened but Cassidy was not much older than I was just like my late husband and I with about a six year difference. If I had had the dream of marrying my teen idol and we had stuck together then I would still be in the same boat as I am in now except I would have been in the states.

Yep that was me in high school. Skinny as a rail, baggy jeans and David always David. My girlfriends and I would go walking down the street with our noses into teen magazines. Glad we never bumped into any light poles. Actually reading and walking then was not different to texting and walking now @andriaperry

Thanks for the post. I don't see your added photo of yourself as a teen with your David posters. Did you post it here or on another site?
