Hello mylotters Family! Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening Happy Thanksgiving to all who are celebrating it! Since its Thanksgiving and many of you out there are celebrating it in different ways and others might go out to eat on a restaurant or Others will just be going out as ordinary family bonding time! Now, My wondering mind is thinking about those kids along with you Do you somehow choose a restaurant with a play place for your kids? or eat in a restaurant near a place where you can bring your kids to play later after eating? Because in my time we don´t have restaurants with play place so we usually eat before going to park place to play Have a great day Everyone and Happy mylotting! Whenever I go out with friends who have kids, we make sure it is a restaurant that has a play area, it is just simpler that way.

I have no children. I have never seen a play place for children in a restaurant, but it is a good idea, as I have been tempted a few times to kill the parents of a few children playing inside restaurants and annoying other people eating there, when their parents where telling nothing to them.

I always loved to play when in a restaurant when I was a kid, in a play area or a little bit reserved play when there is no play area that's why I can understand when I had children but I never leave them unattended, we usually bring one of my wife's relatives to look after the kids while we enjoy, drink or talk business, kids get bored sitting after a meal while the adults could go on extended time.

I love kid-friendly restaurants, and I think it's a great idea to have a play area for the kids. The only challenge is when they'd rather play than eat when the food is served.

Good point there! I agree because there are kids who forget that they need to eat when they are enjoying the play place Thank you for sharing your views and thoughts about this! Have a great day and Happy mylotting!

I don´t have kids anymore, but when they were little, we either went to places where they could play or they were forbidden to do so. There´s nothing worse than a brat yelling in your ears when you are eating.

When my kids were little, I used to choose which restaurants to eat at based on whether they were kid-friendly or not. And more specifically, whether they had a kids play area or something for the kids to do while us adults dined. Thankfully, there are many restaurants that have little areas with games and such for kids, which makes it much more manageable to bring kids out to eat. Luckily, my kids were very well behaved, and I never really had too many problems with them squirming or misbehaving during meals. I consider myself lucky in that regard. Happy Thanksgiving!

We rarely ate out when our boys were small but I guess we would have chosen restaurants with play areas if it had been an option.

If my kids are with me I would like to sit them with me and enjoy the meal, instead of letting them go to play.

When our children were small , we would feed them first and let them play if there was a play area. It was better that way since they are happy and we too could eat in peace.

I agree with @sharon6345. When we go to restaurant,we should eat together. Many people come to the restaurant to enjoy eating together and peacefully. Some kids running and screaming especially without the parents controlling them is rather distracting. They can always take the kids to parks and other places where they can play happily.

When my child was still small, we told him to have a good manner when we visited a restaurant. Sitting politely and eat his food. Then as a reward, we brought him to a playground after our restaurant visit.
