It is 9 p.m. and my guests have been gone for an hour, and the dishwasher is running. Everything has been put away and equal amounts of food sent home with the other. I have enough in my container to eat two meals. Now I am sitting here with a cup of lemon ginger tea with a spoonful of honey. It's a nice ending to a good, but tiring day. (I was up at 7 a.m. with only four hours of sleep last night.) I can barely keep my eyes open so I am going to blow out all the candles and call it a night. Take care and I hope you had a good Thanksgiving Day (for those who celebrate). Picture is my own.

I can understand what you are going through with your Mother, and the traveling. Six years ago, I was traveling from Washington to California on Thursdays or Fridays to help with my mother. She was pretty sick then. I would fly back on Mondays. Thanksgiving was pleasant and quiet. Thank you. Rest well today.

When I went to Sweden in 2006/7, I went to an art gallery featuring a pottery artist who would make ceramic baskets/bowls using this beautiful lacy flower pattern. I could not afford them, but she also had these "seconds" pieces that she also sold for far less. I bought these pieces from her. I think I paid about 375kr ($45-50) for these.

Lovely photo. I love candlelight. Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving. I was just expressing some dislike here in Latvia. I would love it if they adopted the nice holiday of Thanksgiving but instead they have adopted the craziness and pandemonium of Black Friday. I refuse to get involved and will not go to any stores but I might see what deals they have online today. Hope you have a great Friday.
