My day started with a nosebleed

I woke up at 8 am with a nosebleed and every time I got it stopped it started back up again. It delayed me having my coffee. Lately my knee has been paining me but this morning I woke up with it being very painful. It hurts to bend at all so walking or bending down to clean hurts a lot. No idea what could be wrong. I stayed up later last night finishing a book I was reading called “Silver Linings” by Debbie Macomber. I loved it. Unfortunately I don’t have the next in the series but I have the two after that so I will wait to read those until I can get a copy of the second book in the series to read. I am going to start reading a new book today called “Southern Lights” by Danielle Steel. I am hoping to get this one done before Sunday morning so I can give three books in the silly auction. I have two finished so far. Today I think will be a pretty relaxing day again at home.

Put ice in a plastic bag and hold it against your nose, that tends to help stop it, I am sorry you had a start to the day like that though. If your knee doesn't get better, can you see a doctor?

Ice never helped my nose but actually putting a steaming hot rag over my nose used to help stop it when I was young.

Have you tried putting VASELINE in your nose, it does help to stop the bleeding.

I think I have tried that but I can’t remember for sure. I know my mom used to tell me to put neosporin up there but when I tried it a few times it melted and ran down my throat and tasted so bad!

Sorry to hear about your nosebleeds and your sore knee. I used to get a lot of nosebleeds and still do from time to time.

I have a bleeding disorder so I got them daily as a kid for hours at a time. It got better in my late teens and rarely at all now. Usually I get them when I’m coming down with something.

I spent most the weekend with my ex who asked me to be his girlfriend again. He just left now and I’m playing catch up a little before the auction party. It was a nice weekend but no time to read so only two books were finished to take to the auction.

@Courtlynn I told him I had to know it’s what he really wants and that he’s not just trying to get some. I told him I’m tired of him breaking up with me every summer and that I won’t be planning ahead like he does about our future. He said he was really excited all morning to ask me to be his girlfriend and take me out to dinner.

Nope the day really improved! My ex took me out to dinner and before we went he asked me if I wanted to be his girlfriend again and we talked awhile about our relationship. It was a nice day!

Something could be thinning your blood or you are anemic or have a sinus infection but that would not be a knee problem. have you found out what it is yet?

No idea why I had the random nosebleed but I due have a bleeding disorder so they are pretty common. Much leas now that I am older. My knee got better as the day wore on. I am anemic but I take iron pills for it.

@bunnybon7 I feel so much better after taking the pills so I know they are working. My heart used to pound so hard just standing up and I was weak and exhausted constantly.

@shaggin maybe find out if the pills are enough. because when the doctor told me I might need more B12 vitamin in a shot, I told her I already take pills for that and she said sometimes the body don't absorb them like it should. hence the shot

Wow I can’t imagine something never having a nosebleed. I used to get them a few times a day as a kid. Thankfully the older I got the better they have gotten.

@averygirl72 The ones I had as a kid hurt terrible. My nose would throb similar to the way a headache would throb in my head. I haven’t had a painful one like that in along time just the ones that bleed and feel like a constant runny nose but no pain.

I think everyone gets them now and then. My husband got them after drinking to much cranberry juice and he would panic and think he needed to go to the hospital lol

@LadyDuck yes they are very annoying I am just thankful they are no longer painful like the ones I had a kid that would have my nose throbbing.

I didn't start hurting, but later I started have cramps (my monthly). I decorated and did some black friday shopping on Amazon and Belk.com. And I read the rest of Odd Hours that I was supposed to have finished yesterday. I'm hoping to later listen to Maximum Ride Forever.

@JESSY3236 I was thinking that might be it. I have one of those in the series but its not the first one so I'd have to get that first in order to read the one I have.

@A_loves_B It’s genetic my mom, uncle and cousin all have it too. I just don’t take medicine if it causes me to bleed more etc. Doctors never helped at all when I was young.

It's difficult to put the light out when you're reading a good book... just one more page... just one more chapter... Oh, look! It's 3am! Series are good when you have all the books but a real pain if you're missing one. Hope you find the one you need.

Yea a good book is so hard to put down. I had about two chapters left but needed to go to bed as my kids and pets don’t let me sleep in much. I was luck to sleep until 8!

I have a bleeding disorder so nosebleeds are something I learned to deal with having them all the time at a very early age.
