Crazyness in the Stores today

I never went out today as I know the traffic would be bad from all the shoppers. I never did any shopping on these days as I cannot stand the crowds. I worked in retail for many years and I saw to many fights and nasty people and vowed I would never go near the stores unless I was working. I saw on the television tonight about people fighting and pushing people down. It is just craziness. Did you go out shopping today?

For me there is no need to go out shopping and only last year they decided to copy the US and make a Black Friday here. But here this idea hasn't caught on yet and there isn't much to it at all. I think this year I'll cancel Christmas because I'm not in the mood to go next door and spend it with my BF sister and her family again. It sucks over there for the holidays and it sure doesn't seem much like Christmas being with them. They always make the same old crap to eat and I don't feel like eating cold BBQ chicken, sausages, and steak again with them. They always make the food 5 hours before eating and I hate to eat cold food for sure. It's horrible and they don't really know how to BBQ either.

I have a young couple that always try to share the holidays with us, because they do not enjoy it with their family. Their family cooks really good food, but they can't handle the arguing and complaining that goes on there. So, I just claim them as my kids and they come as often as they can. I want holidays to be enjoyable and comfortable, but then again, I prefer for every day to be such.

I never shop on that weekend. The sales will still be there on the items I need to buy. Or I will shop online. I do like to see how the malls are decorated for the holidays, but as far as waiting on long lines that is not for me.

@ramapo17 Oh yes, I am always driving around in December to different areas to look at lights! Even when I was in Florida Palm trees with lights on them are cool

I shopped for food and then shopped at a little thrift store. For sure I avoided Walmart. I'm not fond of that store in any season.

Smart man. I remember one Christmas working part time at Macy's. The people were lined up like animals before we opened.

I would never push someone just because I wanted to buy stuff. People are more important than things.

The crowds is the main reason why I don't like shopping at this time of year.

Just went to get a few things in a very small grocery store. No way I would go in those huge stores on a silly day.

Even if Black Friday is only a very little thing in our country, we stayed at home.

No Black Friday here, but I would never be interested to go shopping even if we do have it. I can't stand the crowds.

The only place I went yesterday was a regular grocery store and that super early. Hardly anyone in the store, so that was good. I don't expect to go near Wal-Mart very much in the next month. I'm thinking about ordering online. Cyber Monday is coming up.

I lovvvve to shop! But, I won't do it on Black Friday. I want to enjoy the experience. In my opinion, there is no sale item worth causing one to behave disrespectfully or savagely to another. However, my girls and one of my best friends went yesterday. They said, surprisingly, it was no where near as uncivilized as usual. They were all through shopping before lunch and had no horror stories to tell.

No, I avoid crowds as much as possible, at all times! The fighting and pushing is so childish, even little kids are more caring than that:(

I thought I would buy things online (same Black Friday discount deals), but in the end, I decided not to.
