The Science city in Kolkata has many educative tours. In one section the metal age of ancient civilization is recreated. That is the period when metals like copper, brass, bronze were used for making utensils and other domestic tools. Humans learned how to process them and create alloy of the metals.

Thanks Mohitji, copper and lead were also used in early period. The alloys of copper like brass bronze were used to make glasses, plates.

@mohit459 Thanks Mohitji, early humans had one quality they understood the health benefits of metals also. When silver was not difficult to excavate, utensils used to be of silver, then copper, brass. All these metals had qualities of destroying germs so while eating food in these plates, the chances of getting stomach problems reduced down.
