Ramen Noodles

After all the delicious and rich foods of Thanksgiving (and the leftovers for breakfast), I cannot bring myself to eat anymore of those delicious foods. I just want something simple and a little junky. So I turn to good old ramen noodles. I know, it's not really good for me, and it virtually has no nutrients on it. I put some eggs on it and some green onions for a bit of sustenance and flavor. Too bad we do not have "tuyo" or dried fish here. I know it sounds disgusting but for us who grew up in the Philippines it is our go-to dish for "cleansing the palate" of festive foods.

on the rare times i have instant noodles, i also put egg, cabbage and carrots. filipino holiday dishes here tend to be pork and chicken. when we're tired of that, it's nice to eat fried tilapia, galunggong and daing na bangus (milkfish) with atsara (picked green papaya) with sinangag (fried rice). yes, i'm torturing you. hahaha!

I knew it! Ugh, I miss all those foods! We do not have an Asian store nearby so I will just have to suffer longer, no thanks to your suggestions!

@hereandthere I know! And when they get back they have put on some weight. I do not want that to happen to me so I guess I have to watch what I eat. Everything should be in moderation.

I did, but now I am feeling a little sick from eating the noodles. I think I ate too much of it. I wish I can purge it out but I am not like that. Maybe green tea or a cup of decaf coffee will help get rid of the feeling.

@hereandthere Yes, that will be best. I promised myself I will start eating healthy tomorrow. No more junk foods and definitely no more pop or soda.
